About Our Client

Our Client is UK higher education pathways provider through which more than 35,000 students have progressed to universities in the UK and around the world.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with colleagues in the UK head office marketing and communications team to increase our client’s brand awareness in China.  

The Marketing Executive will manage our client’s Chinese social media accounts, writing content for the its China website, as well supporting with the creation and translation of marketing materials.

The job holder will also work as part of a team to provide marketing support to BD and student recruitment team members across the China region.

The successful candidate will:

  • develop and implement an annual marketing plan for the China region to help raise our client’s brand awareness across the international higher education sector.
  • manage our client’s Chinese social media accounts (Weibo, WeChat and Youku) and its Chinese website by creating engaging and relevant content for both B2C and B2B audiences.
  • assist with the creation of Chinese marketing materials to support student recruitment activities and the promotion of our client’s university partners.
  • liaise with our client’s China Student Ambassadors to generate testimonials, case studies and videos for social channels and websites.
  • create monthly marketing reports (website traffic, social media, enquiries), monitoring and evaluating the performance of marketing campaigns.

Key Requirements

  • Experience of digital marketing for Chinese social media accounts and websites.
  • Ability to write interesting and engaging copy for social media.
  • Fluent in both Mandarin Chinese and English (spoken and written).
  • Study abroad experience, ideally in the UK (desirable).

Our ideal candidate has at least 2 years of social media marketing in China, ideally with a focus on education, and a good understanding of the selling points of the UK as a study destination.
