About the Role

The Associate Director will lead the China Office in support of the Executive Director, China. As a member of the executive team, this role will serve as the Client Account Manager for various clients and provide additional support for broader company initiatives.

  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Director, China, to build a strong brand among external stakeholders and engage with key communities in the higher education industry.
  • Work with client institutions to support their global engagements, offering consultation on best practices, strategy development, problem-solving, and guidance on market norms.
  • Improve overall dedicated staff effectiveness, and ensure that all staff are being supported consistently at a regional level.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years’ experience in a role in the higher education industry, public or private.
  • Student recruitment and marketing expertise from within the higher education sector, especially the support of overseas higher education to increase enrolment outcomes and brand awareness in China.
  • Strong understanding of student recruitment in Asia, especially China, and expertise in higher education systems in the US, UK, Australia, Canada, Ireland, and New Zealand.
  • Excellent English communication skills, Chinese language skills are essential.
  • Experience of client relationship management is desirable.
  • Experience in coaching and managing overseas university in-country staff is a plus.
